Synopsis

Newly appointed female forensic pathologist Dr. Ching Chi-yan (Hera Chan) has always been inspired by Dr. Lam Sum (Willie Wai). And ever since Chi-yan was a kid, she has aspired to join the Forensic Pathology Service. However, she is sidelined by her boss Dr. Lam Sum after starting her new job. Lam Sum and his ex-wife Ko Shuk-han (Alice Wong), RCU Senior Inspector, cannot stand each other. Their paths cross again as their daughter Lam Suet-lui runs away from home. Chi-yan gains Lam Sum’s approval with her industrious work attitude and forms a bond with police officer Ko Chun (Mark Ma). The three of them gradually become a well-coordinated crime-busting trio. After experiencing heartbreak and unemployment, Chi-yan’s buddy Sin Pui-ka (Jinny Ng) becomes a local news reporter. She and seasoned reporter Tsim Pak-yu (Nicholas Yuen) evolve from playful rivals to supportive partners. Just as Chi-yan’s career is progressing well, she hears the news of her good friend Pui-ka’s death. She is determined to uncover the truth and speak out for the deceased!
