PO CHUNG-LING (Steven Ma) from Jinan is part of a New Year print family. Though his father, PO POON (Yueh Hua), hopes he will take over the business, LING distrusts him, suspecting collusion with corrupt officials. LING's friend, KO JIT (Chan Kam Hung), also opposes corruption. While investigating rumors of a troublesome fox spirit, LING is saved by LING WU SIU-TSUI (Fala Chen), who turns out to be the fox spirit repaying a favor. As they grow closer, TSUI falls for LING.
