In a corruption case involving a listed company, ICAC Principal Investigator Kong Kin-chau (Kelly Cheung) gets closer to uncovering the truth. Chief Investigator Szeto Kai-man (Joel Chan) and Asst. Investigator Ting Sum (Yvette Chan) pose as a father-daughter duo searching for an apartment to gather evidence against a construction company. With help from Firearms Team member Chui Ho-nam (Alex Yung) and Asst. Investigator Chung Hau-ling (Iris Lam), they secure incriminating information. Meanwhile, Senior Investigator Ng Hok-bun (Frederick Cheng) investigates inmates communicating with outsiders, exposing corruption among correctional officers. Despite differing views on suspects, Hau-ling and Ting Sum remain dedicated to seeking justice in the secondary school engineering corruption case, even after being removed from an insurance bribery investigation.
