Department of Justice SADPP Pau Hey-yan (Joe Ma) possesses extreme empathy as he suffers from a rare condition called “mirror-touch synesthesia”. His aim is to piece together the complete truth in a case, strive to get the defendant to plead guilty, and minimize the sufferings of the victims from tedious hearings. Hey-yan teams up with law clerk Kung Suen Pak (Winki Lai), like-minded Senior Inspector Chin Hung-fei (Ricco Ng), former victim Chun Sheung-yin (Hera Chan) and trainee prosecutor Chiu Zhi-ching (Aska Cheung) to uphold justice. The chums run into obstacles. And Hey-yan has to turn hostile against his mother, who is the eldest daughter of a conglomerate, and confront his ex-lover Wong Chung-sing (Alice Chan), who is a barrister by profession. However, Hey-yan adheres to his beliefs as he is determined to uncover the truth and seek justice for the victims!
