Synopsis

The story starts in a big family, ‘Kwong Wan Transport Co.’, in the 1920’s… HIN (LAU CHUNG YAN DAMIAN) is the third generation family decision maker. He is under enormous pressure at work and from family conflicts. Even his wife, YUNG (LUI SHAN), cannot ease the pressure. Within the whole family, only the servant maid, HING (CHIU NGAR CHI), understands him. HIN plans to marry HING as his second wife. However, rumour has it that the wedding is cancelled. CHI (CHEUNG CHI LAM, JULIAN) ignores his mother YUNG’s objections and is determined to be with a poor girl, HEI (SHEH CHARMAINE).
